Once again, the Oak Hills Dive In Movies return! Come lounge by the pool for this summer treat. Movie will begin at dusk. In case of inclement weather or viewing difficulty the movie may be played in the gym. This prehistoric comedy adventure follows the world's first family as they embark on the journey of a lifetime when the cave that has always shielded them from danger is destroyed. Traveling across a spectacular landscape, the family discovers an incredible new world filled with fantastic creatures -- and their outlook is changed forever.
Each year our planet passes through a cloud of comet dust, creating the Perseid meteor showers. Come camp out on the greenbelt, stay up late and count the shooting stars at this treasured event! All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. Activities as follows: SATURDAY, AUGUST 16 7 pm: Set up tents on the greenbelt near the tennis courts 8 pm: Enjoy glow in the dark fun in the pool 9 pm: S’mores and camp songs around the fire in the Rec picnic area 10pm: Count shooting stars while camping on the green belt SUNDAY, AUGUST 17 7–8:30 am: Breakfast is prepared for you in the Rec picnic area Summer Concert, Wine Tasting & Dessert Event. There will be dessert samples provided by Outback Steak House, as well as wine and wonderful music by Corner Pocket Jazz Quartet.
Corner Pocket is a jazz quartet dedicated to swinging hard and bringing it home! Comprised of four long-time professional musicians, the band’s broad repertoire is fun and and enjoyable. You will hear their collective musical influences which range from Count Basie, Stan Kenton, and Duke Ellington, to Miles Davis, George Benson, and Chuck Mangione. Leader Sydney Jill Lehman is recognized as one of the premier jazz pianists on the West coast. She has played with some of the best jazz artists in the world—including Dizzy Gillespie. Corner Pocket also features the guitar stylings of Charles Steen, and bassist Ken Anoe. Add drums to the mix, and all of the ingredients are there for music at its finest! We suggest that homeowners bring a snack to share: for example, a cheese tray, grapes, olives... |
