Oak Hills Recreation
Community Programs

We are honored to support a variety of community programs and group activities through our Recreation department. 

All programs and events are open and free to adult homeowners and accompanying guests, unless otherwise noted.

The mission for all Oak Hills Recreation programs and facilities is to provide a safe, healthy and inviting environment for recreation and learning to all Oak Hills residents and their guests, in order to foster goodwill and pride in our neighborhood.

BRIDGE GROUP
First and third Mondays

CURRENT EVENTS DISCUSSION GROUP
Second Wednesday
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., Boyd Community Room

​Open to residents and guests. Free.
A gathering of life-long learners who meet to connect, learn, and grow, the Current Events Discussion Group engages in thought provoking analyses of the what and why in current public events and issues. Past topics include medical research, technical advances, environmental issues, criminal justice, and immigration. All opinions and perspectives are welcome. Bring a topic for discussion!

QUILTING GROUP
First and third Tuesdays
1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Boyd Community Room

Open to residents and guests. Free.
Lois Pierson is an avid quilter and has taught quilting classes at four quilt shops throughout Michigan over the past three decades. Lois loves to teach quilting as well as learn new techniques from networking, sharing tips, demonstrating new tools, and perhaps  donating quilts to an organization. All levels of quilters are welcome!

Are you looking for a fun family friendly activity? Do you like to dance with friends? Want to try something new? Then come on down to the Recreation Center on Monday nights this fall and try square dancing! Lane Clem, who lives in Oak Hills, is going to be our 'caller' for lessons. People of all skill levels and ages are welcome to join. You do not have to have any experience, so come on down and try it out!
