Bootcamp is a combination of strength, cardio, muscle endurance, flexibility, core, and functional movement patterns. You get EVERYTHING you need! In a group setting we will focus on camaraderie and team work. We will push you a little bit further than you would normally push yourself in the gym alone. We will use bodyweight exercises like push ups, squats, suspension training and burpees, interspersed with running and competitive games. The idea is that everyone involved works at their own pace as they team up and work towards one goal, either in pairs, small teams of three or four, or even two teams head on.
Are you looking for a fun family friendly activity? Do you like to dance with friends? Want to try something new? Then come on down to the Recreation Center on Monday nights this fall and try square dancing! Lane Clem, who lives in Oak Hills, is going to be our 'caller' for lessons. People of all skill levels and ages are welcome to join. You do not have to have any experience, so come on down and try it out!

READY TO BECOME A TOTAL KNOCKOUT?
The former Walking + Nutrition class is taking everything indoors for the winter. The Circuit Training class targets body conditioning and building endurance with a sequence of high-intensity aerobic exercises. We will also cover nutrition from the point of view of eating for a healthy lifestyle, including discussions of hot topics such as current trends and fads in eating (soy, coconut oil....what are the benefits? Are there concerns?). We’d like to include some cooking classes that we can do together and share recipes! Our hope is to bring our community together and support each other while getting our heart rates up, improving our cardiovascular system, building stronger bones, increasing our “happy” chemicals in our bodies and engaging in conversation with our neighbors and friends!
